“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you… I could walk through my garden forever.”
― Alfred Tennyson

To those who’ve loved and lost… my condolences and my congratulations!
Without love… there cannot be loss… the deeper the love… the deeper the crater of loss… cherish and appreciate all love that has blessed your life!
My father passed today (8-27-2022) shortly after I began writing this blog. Although the title had already been written, this poetically added another dimension to the topic.
My mother passed 5 months ago.
The mother of my three children passed a few years ago.
Significant others in my life, who’ve humbled me with their love at one time, and have since moved on separately with their lives… I pray that they’ve moved on, to far more beautiful relationships. May your significant others take your breath away as often as you’ve taken away mine!
Reflection… it isn’t the loss that hurts us so deeply… but it’s our deep and beautiful appreciation for the unconditional love others once blessed us with, in our lives.

Love can be expressed in so many interesting ways, from:
- Writing it 100 times with lipstick on the mirror; to,
- Heart-stopping harmonious words that echo forever; to,
- Sharing it on a country swing while the night creatures played their orchestra on a full moonlit night; to,
- An eloquently handwritten letter stained with my tears… etc.
To those loved ones in your life, who’ve shared a part of their heart and soul with you… but are now gone… be overly-appreciative… for you have been genuinely blessed!
To those who’ve shared a part of their heart and soul with me…
despite me being an unworthy recipient of your gift…
.
I offer but a humblest, “Thank you”…
and will cherish your gifts as my most valued assets in life!
Life’s short, respect everyone’s choices and unconditionally love
those who’ve shared parts of their heart and soul with you!
.
Humblest of blessings to all! ~ JR
