Why not have a breakthrough 2021?
“Good is the enemy of great.”, says Jim Collins, author of the book “Good to Great”.
Life is so, so short; why not accelerate past “mediocre” or “good” and strive aggressively for “Amazing”? The answers for not pursuing Amazing are all too easy to reach. The risks of failure, effort needed, etc., are far, far less while only pursuing Mediocre or Good.
But… what if you find Amazing. Will it last forever? Of course not. However, Mediocre can last a lifetime if you’re not careful!
What does your daily / weekly routine center on? Amazing or Good enough?
In listening to the tone of 2020, one thing was clear… self-centeredness took center stage!
- The election had screams of me, me, me
- Many companies who benefitted from the pandemic were gifted the luck to raise prices a lot… and financially benefit
- Many Non-Profits said they needed more, more, more
- Many individuals focused almost exclusively on protecting themselves and just their interests
Were there many good stories in the U.S. with a population of 330+ million… sure! Kudos to you, if you’re one of them!
Is 2021 the year you awaken?
Is 2021 the year you realize that paradoxically,
the most self-centered thing you can do is… intelligently give of yourself!
